Yep. I put it in another thread as the Overton window being pushed past more and more reasonable things that most of us think but are afraid to say. The relentless encroachment onto our ability to say reasonable things out loud is a large part of why Trump won in 2016. People to whom it never occurs to say anything against the progressive party line are quite lucky in this regard. Their brains are fit for our current society. But one can't choose one's brain, and some of us have a slightly more difficult choice to make.

That exhibit features interestingly in this book [image: 1591463693666-83c050d8-933d-48e2-9539-6ecc21222b86.jpeg] The diver used the exhibit in Chicago to memorize the setup of a u boat to insure his safety while diving the wreck.

@Aqua-Letifer said in Cuomo’s ‘Say their names’ reform agenda: @Catseye3 said in Cuomo’s ‘Say their names’ reform agenda: Having had some time to react, I'm really pissed off about that big-ass yellow lettering on the street in front of the White House. It is surreally awful. It needs to be disappeared -- which it will pretty soon, when enough traffic has rolled over it. Then it will be a big faded dirty yellow blotch. In front of the People's House. It's still a block or three away from the White House. And the guy occupying the building shares a big part of the blame for it being there. He's done nothing to fix this. Absolutely nothing. That is utter bull shit. Tell me exactly why it was his responsibility to fix it in the first place? Obama was there for 8 years, what the hell did HE do to fix it? Nothing. But he did a hell of a lot to drive a wedge in things. Trump put more blacks to work, created more business opportunities in black neighborhoods, than any president before him. By what right do these loud mouthed, spoiled little shit boxes out "protesting" go out and tear it all down and then bitch that it Trumps fault? Blacks utilizing the worst part of their culture, unable or unwilling to control themselves like civil humans, white kids trying to copy their thug culture, blacks who rage about racism when not a single one of them have the slightest fucking clue what racism even is, who have been taught by a crippled society that they are entitled and are owed something, a situation that took decades to create - you tell me how that is somehow Trump's fault!! I'm fucking sick to death with all of it. Not a damned one of them are principled protesters. Every fucking one of them is a self important, entitled dickwad just out taking advantage of another opportunity to go out and vent their pent up rage over being such a useless sack of meat.

@Jolly To me, that doesn't make sense. I don't think that the Democrat are in love with Vice President Pence. Anyway, I looked up the definition of coup "a sudden illegal, often violent, taking of government power"

@Loki said in Doubling Rate?: Worrying about Covid again? 2020 will be remembered for the biggest farce perpetuated on mankind. Shifting blame, shifting importance and the search for the right narrative. Now it’s the tear gas’s fault. Seriously that’s the news go to story. We are a vapid people. Yeah, people's thoughts and feels about the culture they are part of are based on whatever the programmers want them to think and feel. Anymore the fundamental self-interest being appealed to is the desire to be seen as virtuous. It used to be that our programming appealed to our desire to be safe, or god forbid successful. No more. It's all about being virtuous now. This quest for virtuousness is so lazy, it requires nothing of anybody except to vote the right way and say the right things. What a scam. But it does seem to be working.

It will be interesting what comes out during the trial. I maintain there is a backstory yet to come out. They knew each other. Either the cop was giving special punishment to Floyd to teach him a lesson, or, the cop was telegraphing a lesson to someone else via Floyd, but which included Floyd. The fact that the other cops did virtually nothing, seems to indicate that they knew better than to cross the cop, or do anything other than gently try to convince him to get off his neck. Think Serpico, and it all makes sense.

@Larry that's damn fine. I loved all the little "accents" he put into the melody line. I didn't even mind the accordion too much.
